Your data, handled honestly.
We run our own analytics, on our own server. No advertising networks, no third-party trackers, no selling or sharing of your data — ever. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and how to control it.
Last updated: 31 July 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Axia Origin Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), the data controller for the personal data described here.
- Registered office: Axia Origin, 4th Floor, 18 St Cross Street, London EC1N 8UN.
- Data protection contact: contact@axiaorigin.com.
2. The short version
We measure how our website is used so we can make it better. We do this with our own first-party analytics — the data lives on our infrastructure and is never shared with or sold to anyone. Non-essential cookies only run after you accept them. You can change your mind at any time.
3. What we collect, and why
When you consent to analytics, we collect “usage data” about your visit. We keep this to what we genuinely need to understand and improve the site:
- Pages & navigation — the pages you view, the order you view them in, time spent on each page, and how far you scroll.
- Interactions — where on a page visitors click (used to build anonymous, aggregate click maps).
- Session length — how long a visit lasts.
- Source — the website or campaign that referred you (e.g. a search engine or a link), where your browser provides it.
- Device & browser — device type, browser, operating system, screen size and language, derived from your browser’s user-agent.
- Approximate location — the country your visit comes from, derived from your IP address.
- IP address — collected as part of the request. It is not shown in our dashboards (we display only a masked form) and is used for country lookup and security.
We do not collect your name, email address or any account details unless you choose to give them to us — for example by emailing us. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Lawful basis (UK GDPR). We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for analytics cookies and the processing of usage data, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Where you contact us, we process your message on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries.
4. Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of first-party items stored in your browser. We set no third-party cookies.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| ao_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we don’t ask again. | Strictly necessary | Until you clear it |
| ao_sid | Groups the page views of a single visit together. | Analytics (consent) | Your browser session |
| ao_vid | A random identifier that lets us count returning vs. new visits. It contains no personal information and is not linked to you. | Analytics (consent) | Persistent, first-party |
The two analytics items are created only after you click “Accept”. If you decline, none are set and no usage data is collected. We also honour your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.
5. How long we keep it
Usage data is retained for up to 24 months, after which it is automatically deleted. We keep only what is described above and never more than we need.
6. Who has access
Usage data is accessible only to authorised Axia Origin staff, through a password-protected dashboard on our own server. We do not share, sell or transfer it to third parties. Our website and analytics are hosted within our hosting provider’s infrastructure; hosting takes place in a data centre operated on our behalf as a processor.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or erase it;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- request portability of your data;
- withdraw your consent at any time; and
- complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
To exercise any of these, email contact@axiaorigin.com.
8. Change your cookie choice
You can withdraw or update your consent whenever you like — it takes effect immediately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
